This outlines the minimum requirements for entry-level progression as a Support Firefighter. Individuals certified at this level have demonstrated the basic knowledge and skills needed to safely and effectively assist in basic firefighter operations while working under direct supervision of a firefighter. Candidates must complete a Support Firefighter training program and have at minimum, certifications in Traffic Incident Management and Hazardous Materials Awareness.
