The goal of this program is to provide participants with an understanding of abuse and neglect of older individuals. The course is geared toward current and future personal care home administrators who will be supervising staff and serving as administration to a facility. Training will include: Laws and regulations regarding protective services; defining and recognizing abuse; investigating and reporting abuse; training staff in de-escalation, anger management and other proper procedures and other areas related to ensuring the detection, reduction, correction or elimination of abuse, neglect, exploitation or abandonment.
This is a required course within the 100 hour Personal Care Home Administrator training program. This course can be taken individually by licensed administrators required to attend 24 hours of yearly job training.
