Employees want to be paid, the employer wants to strike a balance between pay and performance and the laws regulate how and for what work employees must be paid.  This course is designed to provide an overview of pay and benefits as they relate to the human resources function.  This overview includes identifying the appropriate pay structure, compensation and benefit plans for an organization, and spotting issues and pitfalls in compensation and pay through an understanding of the laws that affect payroll operations and recordkeeping requirements.

Live class meeting will be on Tuesdays, April 13 and April 20 from 5:30pm-9:30pm. **Please obtain required text "The Big Book of HR" by Barbara Mitchell and Cornelia Gamlen by ordering through Amazon, Target, Walmart or via another book vendor of your choice.**
