AHA BLS / Heartsaver Instructor

This course is to provide the current BLS or Heartsaver providers with the knowledge and resources to become an instructor for the American Heart Association i CPR, AED, and First Aid. Students must have a current provider card for the specific discipline

Any person that is interested in becoming an instructor must complete the following tasks,
·         Possess a current provider level card for each discipline they wish to teach. (BLS, Heartsaver CPR/AED adn/or Heartsaver First Aid)
·         Complete an Instructor Candidate Application for each discipline they wish to teach.
·         Submit the applications to an approved American Heart Association Training Center. 
BLS Instructor Candidates must successfully complete the BLS Provider Written Examination with a score of 84% and
upon completion of the course, the student instructor must teach two (2) classes within six (6) months of the completion date.  These classes will be monitored/mentored by an existing AHA instructor
