In this 150-hour course, you will explore everything from the history of robotics to real-life, hands-on experience with an industrial robot. Discover the fundamentals of automation, programming and robotics applications using the NED2 collaborative robot (cobot) and Blockly programming.
Students will learn about the structure of a KUKA robot system and the steps required for starting up a KUKA industrial robot. Practical modules will teach students to start the robot, move it and create their first robot programs.
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to test for two levels of certification and earn their SACA (Smart Automation Certification Alliance) credentials. The Specialist Silver certification validates theoretical knowledge through an online exam. The Specialist Gold certification validates both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical skills via in-person testing on industrial equipment.
