« back to classes page
The BLS Provider Course has been updated to include science and education from the 2015 American Heart Association - Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC. It teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both prehospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on high-quality CPR and team dynamics. In this Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.  The intended audience for this course is all healthcare providers including physicians, registered nurses, certified nurse aid’s, all levels of prehospital providers. This program has replaced the Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS – HP) program from the American Heart Association.

Please Note: All CPR cards from the AHA are now sent as an e-card. There are no longer any paper cards distributed. It is required that you have a unique email address that you can claim your e-card from. Students cannot share an email address.
